Moorpark, Calif. - ACU Women's Track and Field put forth yet another positive performance, the young group earning fourth at the 2024 GSAC Track & Field Championship. The Lady Firestorm's 61 points was a 40% increase from the previous season. After all was laid on the line Thursday evening, ACU saw nine All-GSAC titles go their way and 13 personal records fall.

No one athlete shone brighter than senior Kourtney Bruner in the final meet of her ACU career. She achieved personal bests in triple jump (10.27 meters) and 400-meter hurdles (1:13.76), earning second place in triple jump. Individually, the Yampa, Colorado native received All-GSAC status in triple jump and was a member of the 4x100 relay squad who took home the same achievement.

Junior Jade Roberts narrowly edged her 400-meter hurdles personal record (1:09.19), a third-place finish earning an All-GSAC label.

All four long distance runners set personal bests at Moorpark College, highlighted by Kaesha Guillaume shaving over 27 seconds off her 3,000-meter steeplechase time (12:13.19).

The three relay teams combined to secure one All-GSAC distinction (4x100, 50.83 seconds), one season-best (4x400, 4:21.84) and the second-fastest time in program history (4x800, 10:47.94). 

Rachel Ply and Mirdege Lentz received All-GSAC titles in high jump and long jump respectively, while sophomore Kayla Hourigan established personal bests in shot put (10.15 meters) and hammer throw (29.00 meters), both top-five performances in program history.

"The coaching staff and I are very proud of our women's team and how they performed at the conference championship," Coach Bell said. "They are a very young team that brings a lot of joy to the track. To have a 40% increase in scoring in one season is amazing. We are excited to see how high they will go this upcoming season. I have a feeling they will make some serious noise in 2025."
