Phoenix, AZ – The Firestorm Track & Field program took a short trip down highway 101 to compete at Paradise Valley Community College on Saturday. Leading the way was hurdlers
McKenna Rogers and
Shaylee Quenzer who both set new personal bests in the 60-meter hurdles.
The junior Rogers, who has qualified for nationals in the pole vault, is also the second fastest 60-meter hurdler in program history improving her time to 10.07. The sophomore Quenzer improved her time to 10.13 and is ranked fourth in program history.
Thoughts from Head Coach Brian Bell
"We were excited to see so many great performances this early into the indoor season, particularly from our lady hurdlers. The women's team looks to be as strong and as deep as they were last year."
