Coolidge, AZ – The Firestorm Track & Field program traveled to Coolidge, AZ for the Central Arizona College Indoor Invite on Saturday. Among the many great performances was two new program records set by
India Green and
McKenna Rogers. Green ran 7.83 in the 60-meter sprint to reset her own previous record, and Rogers in the 60-meter hurdles ran 9.64 to finally pass alum Leisha Turner who had held that record for eight years. In all, the sprints and hurdles groups combined for fourteen new personal bests on the day.
Other notable performances included teammates
Ezra Haller and
Priscilla Celis-Saldivar who made their season debuts in the 3000 and Mile. Haller ran 10:47.34 in the 3000, and 5:31.77 in the mile, while and Saldivar running 11:15.88 and 5:45.31.
Sedona Dietrich finished fourth in the Shot Put (37'6.75"), and
Rylan Rhodes finished fifth in the Long Jump (16'7.25")

Next On the Schedule
The Firestorm will travel next week to Glendale Community College for the Guacho Multi's and Invite Friday and Saturday February 6 and 7. Multi events begin Friday at 1:00pm and the Invite begins Saturday at 9:30am.
