Flagstaff, AZ – Men's track & field traveled north to Flagstaff, AZ to compete against a mix of NAIA, NCAA and Juco competition at the NAU Tune Up on Friday night. The men were led by
Jase Carrasquillo who won the men's long jump and
TaHaj Acoff who won the men's shot put. For Acoff, it was his fourth victory of the indoor season, and with his new personal best established at the GCC Invite, he will now begin preparations for the NAIA Indoor National Championship.
For Carrasquillo, after a pair of third place finishes earlier in the season, he broke through with the best jump he has had since his freshman year, 23-0.25, and won the event beating several NCAA Division 1 jumpers in the process.
Other strong performers included
Anthony Brazier setting a new personal best in the 60m of 7.03, and
Tanner Johnson running 50.68 in the 400m.
