Glendale, Ariz.- On Monday, Alyssa Grinstead was named the Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week, presented by Athletic Solutions.

Grinstead, from Indio, CA, turned in a dominant week in the circle, posting a 2-0 record with a save and 17 strikeouts over 14.2 innings pitched. The right-hander was nearly untouchable, stringing together 19.2 consecutive scoreless innings before allowing a run in her third appearance—marking the second-longest scoreless streak in Arizona Christian Softball history.

Her efforts helped power the Firestorm to a four-game sweep of Benedictine Mesa.
