ACU Baseball Earns ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

Glendale, Ariz.-- The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced the 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award recipients, presented by Sports Attack, and the Arizona Christian Baseball team was one of the teams that was recognized.

ACU Baseball was one of nearly 500 college programs and more than 300 high school programs.

The award honors ABCA member programs that reached a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic school year. Following the end of the school year, coaches were invited to nominate their teams for the award before the mid-July deadline. To qualify, a team was required to meet the following criteria: be a high school or college program, have a head coach who is a current ABCA member, and reach a minimum cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for the 2025-26 school year.

Head coach Joe McDonald had this to say about his team, "I am super proud of this team accomplishment and how hard our guys work at being the best versions of themselves in the classroom and on the baseball field. We Win Forever!"
