Phoenix, AZ - ACU started to make a comeback in the first game against #24 William Jessup but it was too little, too late. But in the second game, the Firestorm comeback was more successful.  Senior Eric Schwalbe hit a home run in both games to help the Firestorm win three of four in the weekend series.

Inside Game One

• In the third inning, Sim, Schwalbe, and Cohen Heckethorn all singled and scored off a double by Asta
• Bostedt singled down the line and scored on a triple from Burkey, Sim hit a sac fly bringing home Burkey in the sixth
• In the seventh, Asta singled and Bryan Levine was put in to pinch run for him, Steven Hernandez singled, Levine scored on a sac fly by Brent Smith, Bostedt doubled and Hernandez scored
• Schwalbe homered in the eighth
• In attempt to rally in the ninth, Smith and Bostedt singled, Smith scored on a sac fly by Burkey and Sim doubled bringing Bostedt home

• In the fourth inning, ACU started to make their comeback and a 13-0 scoring burst with a homer from Schwalbe that also scored Sim
• In the fifth, Furr started it off with a double, Isbell went in to pinch run, Levine singled to bring Isbell home, Smith walked, Michael Diffley singled, Smith and Levine scored on a single from Burkey, Diffley scored on a sac fly by Sim, and Burkey scored on a wild pitch
• Ty Isbell, Smith, Robert Bostedt, Burkey, Diffley, and Sim scored in the sixth inning
