The Firestorm got into some early trouble with a couple of errors defensively to start the ballgame and was quickly down 1-0.
The Firestorm were able to bounce back quickly with runs coming early in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th inning of the ball game.
The ACU pitching staff continued its strong performance to start the year, holding the Pioneers to only 2 runs the entire game.

"Today was a great day for us. Our pitchers did a really good job of battling out of some tough situations making some really big pitches. Our bunt game was really effective today and a lot of guys contributed to both wins. We need to continue to learn from our mistakes and keep playing together."
