GLENDALE, Ariz. - Arizona Christian University baseball's Robby Campillo has been named Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Week, as announced earlier today by the conference.

Campillo performed well last week in five games, going 10-for-20 with four home runs, two doubles, 12 RBI, six runs scored, and two walks.  He also broke the ACU baseball single-game RBI record with eight in game one of a double header at the Master's last Saturday.

The Firestorm went 4-1 last week and are 7-3 on the season.  So far this season, Campillo leads his team in RBI (15), ranks second in home runs (4), fourth in hits (14), and fifth in batting average (.368).

Head Coach Joe McDonald shared his thoughts on the Tucson, Ariz. native, saying, "Robby has been a huge addition to our program on and off the field.  He has been working incredibly hard, and it showed in an unbelievable, record-breaking performance last weekend.  I am very proud of him and his accomplishment."

Campillo and his teammates are in action later tonight against No. 24 Lewis-Clark State College and host Bethesda University of California for a double header tomorrow afternoon.
