The Firestorm opened up GSAC play last weekend with a trip to Costa Mesa, California to take on the #16 Vanguard Lions. While the Firestorm put together three great baseball games, they were only able to come away with one win. Adrian Santa Cruz is already up to midseason form, tossing 8.2 innings with 9 strikeouts and only allowing three runs in the series opener before Vanguard walked it off in the 10th. Marques Titialii continues to be a walking-extra base hit, adding four more home runs to his season total last weekend. ACU is playing good baseball right now, but needs to minimize the little mistakes to continue adding to the win column. The Firestorm are 10-6 on the season and sit at 6th in GSAC standings.

Series Notes
ACU is 17-37 all-time against the Mustangs. The Firestorm were able to take two out four in last year's series in Santa Clarita. The Mustangs are 12-2 on the season though they have yet to face a GSAC opponent. Both TMU losses came when playing on the road this season, which bodes well for the Firestorm. ACU has a great opportunity to get back into the win column and climb the GSAC leaderboard with this weekend's three game set at Glendale High School.
